Editorial policy

What we publish

Tek Insight Hub publishes original reporting, analysis and research on technology, data, security, cloud, crypto, gadgets, industry and related markets, for people who build and buy technology.

Accuracy and sources

• Claims should be backed by a source, and we prefer primary sources such as filings, documents, data and direct statements.
• Every article is checked by an editor before it is published. A named person is responsible for what runs under our name.
• We separate reporting from opinion, and we say when an article is analysis or commentary.
• We do not publish rumours as fact. When something is unconfirmed, we say so.

Independence

Editorial decisions are made independently of advertisers and sponsors. Advertising never decides what we report or how we report it.

Sponsored content and advertising

Sponsored articles are always labelled “Sponsored”, and are supplied by the advertiser, not written by the newsroom. Display ads are placed by third parties such as Google and are kept separate from articles. Learn more on our Advertise page.

Guest contributors

Outside writers can pitch original, well-sourced pieces through Write for us. Submissions are reviewed and edited before publication, carry an author byline and bio, and are declined if they mainly promote a product.

Conflicts of interest

Contributors and staff should tell the editors about any financial or personal interest in a subject they cover. Where it matters to readers, we disclose it in the article.

Corrections

We correct mistakes quickly and openly. Where a correction changes the meaning of an article, we add a note saying what changed and when. To report an error, email tekinsighthub@gmail.com or use the contact form, and give the article address and what you believe is wrong.

How we are funded

The site is funded by advertising, sponsored content and, in future, research and reports.
